A new kind of journey…..

As a military spouse you end up wearing a lot of hats over the years:

• Wife
• Mom
• Room mom
• Volunteer
• Mom/Dad during deployments
• Family Readiness Group Leader
• Vacation planner
• Moving coordinator
• Cook
• Maid
• Accountant

I could go on and on……

My newest hat? Entrepreneur. More specifically I am starting a new business as an Independent Contractor under Kinship Vacations, planning and curating vacations for busy people wanting to take incredible trips with their families.

I know what you are thinking. Whaaaaaaaaaaat?

YOU GUYS! This is exciting, scary, a lot to take on and I could not feel more giddy about it. Which tells me exactly what I need to know – that this is exactly what I am supposed to do. Almost like it’s serendipitous.

So what does it mean? I am fortunate enough to be working with an awesome military spouse as my mentor to help me navigate the travel industry.  I’ll be working from home, which allows me to take care of everything I need to with the girls (and hubby, and all those other hats aforementioned) while taking on something for myself.  It means taking all of my knowledge and experience traveling and planning trips for people throughout Europe and channeling that energy into a viable service for others.  And all of you can follow along via my blog right here on this site, where I’ll be passing along all my tips and tricks for travel and sharing some of our best memories with you!

Mostly it means sharing my passion for travel. It means helping and encouraging other families to experience the world and making it as easy for them to do it.

Because in the end that’s what really matters – the experiences.
